IRC MESSAGES

Following messages are displayed on the master ECR or the slave ECRs in the IRC communication. Even when the ECR is

in the OFF position, these messages are displayed.

Displayed on Slave ECR

Displayed when a slave ECR is in IRC communication.

Block number NN shows the received/sent data from/to the master.

Displayed on Master ECR

Displayed when master ECR is in IRC communication of report collection (X, Z) or program (P)

download. xxxx shows report number or program number. ### shows a slave ECR number.

Displayed when a slave ECR is in another IRC communication, or when the communication line

is being used by another ECR for slip printer transmission, etc.

Displayed when a slave ### is in a busy condition while the master sends a program data.

Displayed when the power is 'off' on a slave ###, or when the communication line is used for a

PC communication, or the cable being disconnected while the master sends a program data.

Displayed when a slave ### is processing a transaction, or when a transaction is closed but

some compulsory conditions still remain.

Displayed when a slave ### is error (cannot communicate), or when the power is 'off' or the

cable being disconnected.

POWER OFF (AC CORD DISCONNECTED) / BUSY / COMMUNICATION ERROR AT SLAVE ECR

For an X-report data, the master ECR prints consolidated X report skipping power off or busy slave ECR. See

the IRC status which is printed at the end of the report for non-consolidated slave ECRs.

When collecting a Z-report data and one or more of the slave ECRs are not ready, the master ECR displays the

slave ECR status as shown above (IRC busy, E1, E2). Re-attempt to collect the slave's report or skip it.

TTL 5 key

In order to include an ECR's data on the Z-report, close the transaction in process in that particular

slave, or turn its power on and then press TTL 5 key on the master ECR.

CL key for skip

If you do not wish an ECR's data on the report, press the CL key and the master will skip that slave

ECR. Master resumes data collection for the next ECR in the system.

POWER OFF (AC CORD DISCONNECTED) AT MASTER ECR

If the power fails when collecting X-report data, the master prints consolidated X report when the power returns.

See the IRC status which is printed at the end of the report for non-consolidated slave ECRs.

If the power fails when collecting Z-report data, the master ECR displays the machine number of the slave ECR

when the power returns. Press CL key to skip or press TTL 5 key to re-attempt.
